    • Hi Gregory, thanks for your question. Well, with each colour I make up rules for where it will be placed, as it journeys across the networked surface. Often those rules come into conflict with the rules for another colour and choices have to made. In a way, each ‘journey’ is a personal history. There are also lots of accidents in the painting process, a black smudge here or a correction there, and so there is this play between plan and accident, or “the necessary truths of reason and the contingent truths of history”. I could say more, and quote Kierkegaard, but I sense I may be getting boring now!
