  1. In slide-show form these drawings become wonderful sequential imagery. I often wonder, when looking at your drawings, about your head space when making the work. Personally I would go crazy drawing all those lines. Is it a meditative process for you, or is it an obsession?

    • It starts out meditative, goes through annoyance and then becomes obsession (hey, I just invented a 3 stage model)

      • Hey, I recognize that model – seems every piece I process follows those stages…

  2. Brain stimulating, for me it is about the relationship between each drawing. In some drawings I asked myself “was this drawn after Andy had a beer or two,” possibly! Nonetheless an enjoyable experience.

  3. So much variation in the line. Really great to see the drawings in a slideshow.

    • Thanks Carla for commenting and that’s interesting that we should be going to opposite places, maybe we will meet in the middle?

  6. I really like these. Repetition with slight variations seems to be one of the big things I look for in the arts, and I love how slight irregulaties in line width, straightness or angle suddenly turn a grid into three dimensional space or conjure up shapes in the visual system.

They also reminded me of photography of Aitor Ortiz, with which I had the pleasure to get aquintated with recently at Fotografiska museet in Stockholm. He’s website is a bit too well designed to be pleasurable for the user, but if you can manage it, the series Amorphosis is the one that I connected your drawings with.

    • Hi ottowille, and thank you for your comments and positive feedback. Thanks also for the very interesting link. Yes, I can see the resonanace (I know that’s something that we usually hear), and the site is well worth visiting – even though yes it is a bit of an effort to get there!
